President Ersin Tatar has emphasized the significance of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in strengthening its economic structure and maintaining its existence with its own values, stating that the TRNC is located in a highly important region for the Turkish nation.

President Tatar made these remarks during a meeting with Onur Kacar, Chairman of the Antalya branch of the Anatolian Lions Businessmen Association (ASKON), and his delegation.

Speaking at the meeting, ASKON Antalya Chairman Onur Kacar reaffirmed their continuous support for the TRNC and provided President Tatar with details about the association’s activities.

President Tatar highlighted the TRNC’s commitment to further strengthening ties with Türkiye in all fields, noting that despite some challenges, they have achieved success together. He pointed to the growing numbers in various sectors and the increasing recognition of the TRNC’s value in the region as evidence of the country’s rising status.

Tatar also addressed the ongoing embargoes and isolations imposed by the Greek Cypriots in an attempt to hinder the TRNC.

However, he underlined that the TRNC maintains connections with more than 100 countries through tourism, education, and trade, thanks to its ties with Türkiye.

Stressing the importance of being part of the Organization of Turkic States, Tatar reiterated that the TRNC’s strategic position in the “Blue Homeland” also serves the interests of the wider Turkic world.
