President Ersin Tatar emphasized that if there is to be a treaty in Cyprus, it will be at a state level, not at a community level.
Stating that their new policies have now found a place in the world, President Tatar noted that the world recognizes that there are two separate peoples and states in Cyprus.
“We will not give up our sovereignty, our state nor our homeland,” the President said.
During his visit to the Headquarters of the TMT Fighters Association, President Ersin Tatar expressed the importance of the Turkish Cypriot people and their sovereignty.

Stating that due to the conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa in recent years, their economies have collapsed, people have died and migrated from their homelands, President Tatar noted that while there are sad events in the nearby geography, there are no problems in Cyprus.
Explaining that they will not give up on the sovereignty and self-governance of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which is the essential element of the Turkish Cypriot people, President Tatar emphasized that the state has strengthened with its institutions and organizations, infrastructure and superstructure as well as economic sectors.
He also mentioned the TRNC’s participation in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the importance of their work.
President Tatar firmly stated that they would not give up their sovereignty, state, or homeland.
He rejected the idea of a federal solution and a united Cyprus, calling for a two-state solution instead, supported by the Republic of Türkiye.
