President Tatar visits relatives of TMT mujahids, veterans and martyrs

President Ersin Tatar visited the relatives of TMT mujahids, veterans and martyrs during the Kurban Bayram (Eid al-Adha) holiday.

During the Kurban Bayram holdiay President Ersin Tatar visited Ali Abdurrahmanoğlu, a veteran of the Turkish Resistance Organization and Chairman of the Iskele Branch of the TMT Mujahid Association, Kadir Kayıkçı, a veteran of the Turkish Peace Forces and retired police chief, and the relatives of the martyrs Mehmet Salih Şakir, Aydın Ahmet and Bekir Ahmet.

Speaking during the visits, President Ersin Tatar said that as a state, they have always been and will continue to be on the side of veterans and martyrs’ relatives.

“We will never forget or allow for our martyrs to be forgotten” said President Tatar adding that the two martyrs, Aydın Ahmet and Bekir Ahmet, were brothers.

Commemorating the martyrs and veterans who are no longer with us, President Tatar expressed his gratitude to the TMT mujahids, mujahids and veterans.

Explaining that the Turkish Cypriots, who suffered a lot in the past, gained their freedom and independence thanks to their struggle for existence, President Tatar emphasized that Turkish Cypriots now live in peace, tranquillity and security in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
