President Ersin Tatar once again emphasized the importance of Türkiye’s effective guarantorship in Cyprus.

Speaking at an event he attended, Tatar said, “We will not accept the end of the guarantorship of the Motherland and the end of the Turkish military presence.”

President Ersin Tatar attended an event titled “Culture Caravan from Konya to Cyprus” organized by Konya Writers’ Union.

Speaking during the event, President Tatar said that it is necessary to be in communication with the Turkish Nation living in different parts of the world.

“The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is a unifying force, we are all one heart” said Tatar while noting that unjust isolation, restrictions and embargoes are being imposed against the country so that the Turkish Cypriot people will give up on their cause.

“Peace came to Cyprus in 1974. We can start negotiations with the confirmation of our acquis rights. We will not accept the end of Türkiye’s guarantees and the end of the Turkish military presence with the federation,” said Tatar.
