Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRT) is hosting the launch event for its new broadcast season tonight. The theme is “Overcoming Barriers.”

The event, taking place in BRT’s front garden, is expected to draw a large crowd.

The evening’s program features a special exhibition game by the Vakıflar Wheelchair Basketball Team, alongside Fenerbahçe and İskenderun Wheelchair Basketball Teams.

Attendees will also enjoy a performance by The Native Cypriot, a popular local group, presenting a repertoire of traditional Cypriot melodies.

Additionally, the Turkey Wheelchair Basketball Super League’s four teams will compete in the Mustafa Çelik Memorial Tournament. The opening game between Vakıflar and Fenerbahçe is scheduled for Friday, 18 October at 9:30 AM at Atatürk Sports Hall and will be broadcast live on BRT 2.

The tournament’s final match will be aired live on BRT 2 on Saturday, 19 October, starting at 5:30 PM.

As part of a cooperation agreement between BRT and the Disabled Sports Federation, all of the Vakıflar Wheelchair Basketball Team’s games in Lefkoşa throughout the season will be broadcast live on BRT.
