In a joint statement issued by the human rights group Embargoed and the British Cyprus Turkish Association operating in the UK, it was stated that they would call for an end to the inhumane isolation of the Turkish Cypriot people in today’s protest.

The statement also noted that they would urge the UK government to assist in the repeal of UN Resolution 186 and to end the 60-year-old inequality and international isolation of the Turkish Cypriot people.
