Minister of Health Hakan Dinçyürek made a statement regarding “Public Health Week,” which will be observed from September 3 to 9.
He stated that the most significant step in the field of healthcare is the prevention of diseases and stressed the importance of raising awareness of this approach within society.
“Let us not forget that the best healthcare services are the preventive measures taken to avoid diseases,” Dinçyürek said, noting the increase in investments aimed at improving public health. He also drew attention to the elements that form the cornerstone of a healthy life, emphasizing that “the first step to protecting and strengthening public health is to avoid becoming ill.”
Minister Dinçyürek highlighted that healthy eating, regular exercise, and stress management are the most effective methods for maintaining both physical and mental health.
He underlined that Public Health Week is a crucial opportunity to reinforce this awareness and build a healthier society.
Dinçyürek further stated that healthcare services should not only be focused on treatment but should also be supported by preventive healthcare services.
He noted that as the Ministry of Health, preventive health services are among their top priorities.
