Students in all primary and public schools received report cards on Wednesday beginning their two-week mid-term break.
The Ministry of National Education announced that students who could not attend school today due to adverse weather conditions will be able to collect their report cards at a suitable time from the school authorities.
All students studying in primary, secondary, and vocational and technical education schools completed the term on Wednesday.
With the distribution of report cards, 26,577 students in primary education and 28,973 students in secondary education began their midterm break as of Wednesday morning.
Students will return to classrooms on Friday, February 16.
Education Minister Çavuşoğlu issued a message wishing the children a happy and peaceful holiday.
“During this short break, you should spend your time not only resting but also pursuing your hobbies. I encourage you to utilize this short break to both relax and have fun while also improving yourself and acquiring new knowledge. This holiday period will be a great opportunity to discover new hobbies, get to know yourselves and increase your knowledge. Remember that meaningful moments spent with books, art, sports, and your families will contribute to your personal development,” Çavuşoğlu said in his message.
He also reminded parents of their important responsibilities during this period.
“Supporting our children during this holiday period, spending quality time together and strengthening communication will greatly contribute to their emotional and social development. Education should continue not only in schools but also within the family. Therefore, be part of their dreams, read books together, spend more time together, and create beautiful memories. Remember that these moments will not only strengthen your children but also your family bonds,” Çavuşoğlu said.
The education minister concluded his message by expressing his gratitude to teachers for their dedication and sacrifice.
