The Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across Türkiye, as it is every year, in honour of the declaration of the Republic by the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
As part of the celebrations for the 101st anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye’s declaration, the first ceremony was held at Anıtkabir.
The state officials, led by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, visited Anıtkabir on October 29 to commemorate Republic Day and the 101st anniversary of the Republic’s declaration.
The ceremony began with the procession of state officials along the Lion’s Path. After President Erdoğan laid a wreath adorned with the crescent and star at Atatürk’s mausoleum, a moment of silence was observed, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
Subsequently, Erdoğan and the accompanying officials moved to the National Pact (Misak-ı Milli) Tower.

After the ceremony, Anıtkabir was opened for citizens to visit.
Meanwhile, the Turkish Air Force’s demonstration team, SOLOTÜRK, conducted a flyover in the skies of İstanbul to celebrate the 101st anniversary of the Republic.
