The visiting delegation from Türkiye’s Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) led by its President Ebubekir Şahin visited the Bayrak Radio Television Corporation as part of its contacts in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC).

During the visit, BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt provided information to the RTÜK members about the BRT Broadcasting History Museum.

In her statement, Meryem Özkurt mentioned the 60th-anniversary celebrations of BRT and expressed her pleasure in hosting the RTÜK delegation in the TRNC.

She praised the contributions RTÜK was making to the development of media.

RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin, for his part, expressed their pride in celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Bayrak Radio Television Corporation and stated that they would support BRT on all platforms.

Şahin said, “Trying to convey the just cause of the TRNC to the whole world tirelessly and without getting tired for years is challenging but equally honourable.

We have always been and will continue to be by the side of BRT in its efforts.”

After the speeches, RTÜK President Şahin presented a plaque to the corporation’s director Meryem Özkurt.
