The President of Türkiye’s Radio and Television Supreme Council Ebubekir Şahin and members of the Council are paying a visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

The delegation paid visits to state and government officials on Wednesday.

Türkiye’s Radio and Television Supreme Council is paying visits to the TRNC following the election of the new term presidency.

The President of the Council Ebubekir Şahin and his accompanying delegation visited the Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu, the head of the Supreme Broadcasting Board Feyzi Hansel and President Ersin Tatar respectively.

In his speeches during the visits, Şahin stated that RTÜK visits the TRNC with its new members after each election.

Emphasizing that they will work in cooperation with the stakeholders here on what can be done; Şahin stated that they are in good cooperation with the Supreme Broadcasting Board in the TRNC.

He said that they are also discussing what kind of cooperation can be possible at international platforms.

During the visit paid to him, the Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu said that he found RTÜK’s visit to the TRNC to be very important and expressed the belief that the contacts they will carry out will be very beneficial due to their experiences.

During their visit to the Supreme Broadcasting Board the chairman of the board Feyzi Hansel emphasized that RTÜK is the gateway of the Supreme Broadcasting Board to the world.

He said that cooperation will continue to produce more efficient projects.

The visiting delegation was then received by President Ersin Tatar.

Speaking during the visit, President Ersin Tatar pointed to the importance of supervision in broadcasts.
