At the meeting where the Ministry of Health shared data regarding seasonal flu, it was stated that once the data was taken into consideration there is no change in the seasonal flu data.
A consultation meeting on seasonal flu outbreaks was held under the chairmanship of President Ersin Tatar at the Presidential Palace.
During the meeting general information about seasonal influenza, viruses and disease symptoms were shared.
The meeting also discussed general hygiene rules and compliance with the rules, and the responsibilities and measures to be taken individually and socially.
Attention was drawn to the necessity of measures to be taken before epidemics as well as measures to be taken during epidemics.

According to the statistics, it was confirmed by the Turkish Cypriot Medical Association and the Association of Freelance Physicians that the data from last year and this year are the same, and that there is no unusual situation or severe flu outbreak in the country, as seen in previous years.
It was communicated to all participants that there has been no increase in flu cases or admissions to intensive care due to the flu compared to last year.
In the meeting, it was also discussed that risk groups have had fewer vaccinations this year compared to previous years, and the importance of vaccination against seasonal flu was emphasized.
