Making a brief statement here, Mustafa Şentop stated that the TRNC Presidency and the Parliament being in the same place will turn into a Management Complex, and reminded that the project was started with the good news given by Turkish President Erdoğan in the TRNC on July 20, 2022.

Emphasizing that a state should fortify itself with institutions and physical structures, Şentop expressed the belief that the buildings will be a piece of art and work as a symbol.

Stating that the two-state solution thesis is an important step that means the registration of a Turkish state in Northern Cyprus, Şentop drew attention to the importance of Turkish President Erdoğan’s call for the recognition of the independence of the TRNC at the UN General Assembly.

Stating that he himself defended this thesis on all platforms during his term as the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Şentop noted that the Parliament Campus and the Presidential Complex are a very important step in this sense.

Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre for his part pointed out that with the completion of the buildings, the specific weight and administrative power of the TRNC will increase even further and said that both campuses are a serious need.

Töre noted that the TRNC, which continues on its way as an independent state, will eliminate outdated buildings with the support of Motherland Türkiye.
