Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Yasin Ekrem Serim shared a post regarding the visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

In his social media post, Serim stated that Hakan Fidan paid a very productive two-day visit to the TRNC.

“Our Minister, who started his visit by meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu, was received by the TRNC President Ersin Tatar and held extensive contacts with the Speaker of Parliament Ziya Öztürkler, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Government Partners, as well as the leaders of political parties,” wrote Serim.

Stating that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan noted during his visit that the isolation of the Turkish Cypriots has turned into a silent crime against humanity and that it is futile to seek a solution based on the status quo of fifty years ago, Serim pointed out that Fidan underlined the various cooperation models that the two states can develop and have the potential to make a great contribution to the island and the region.

“We are determined to carry our solidarity with the TRNC and our comprehensive support for the Turkish Cypriots further in every field with bold steps” said Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Serim via his social media post.
