Preparations are underway to celebrate the 20th of July Peace and Freedom Day.
As part of the celebrations, Solo Türk which is a single aircraft aerobatic demonstration team of the Turkish Air Forces, will also perform a demonstration flight during the celebrations this year.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transportation has issued a NOTAM banning all air sports and drone flights within the TRNC Airspace from 10.45 am tomorrow until 9pm on July 19.
“The NOTAM was issued to ensure flight safety before and during the Solo Türk show to be held within the framework of the celebrations of the 49th anniversary of the July 20, 1974 Peace Operation”, the statement read.
During the period of the NOTAM, paragliding, parasailing and similar air sports and drone flights will not be allowed.
