Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmuş will pay his first foreign visit to TRNC and then move on to Azerbaijan.
According to a statement released by the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Kurtulmuş and his accompanying parliamentary delegation will visit the TRNC capital Lefkoşa on Tuesday and will then move onto Baku on Wednesday, the capital of Azerbaijan, to hold head-to-head and inter-delegation meetings.
During his visit to the TRNC, Kurtulmuş will first visit the tombs of Turkish Cypriot leaders Dr. Fazıl Küçük and Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş and will then be received by President Ersin Tatar.
Kurtulmuş and his accompanying delegation will also hold separate meetings with the Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
After laying wreaths at the Boğaz Martyrs’ Cemetery, Kurtulmuş will then visit the Turkish Embassy in Lefkoşa.
In the evening, Kurtulmuş and his parliamentary delegation will leave the island for Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
During his visit to Azerbaijan, Kurtulmuş and the parliamentary delegation will first be received by the Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev.
Within the scope of his visit to Baku, Kurtulmuş will visit the Alley of Honour and lay a wreath at Heydar Aliyev’s Mausoleum and visit the Martyrs’ Cemetery and the Turkish Martyrdom.
Kurtulmuş and his accompanying delegation will hold head-to-head and delegation meetings with the Speaker of the National Assembly Sahiba Gafarova.
During his visit to Baku, Kurtulmuş will also meet with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Esedov and visit the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States – TURKPA Secretariat General Building.
