The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre pointed to the events in Gaza and reiterated that the Turkish army is the greatest assurance for them.

Töre said “We are aware that we would not exist without the motherland and the Turkish army. We will continue to protect the Republic.”

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre received the President of the Islamic Countries Academics Foundation Prof. Dr. Bayram Altan.

Speaking during the visit Töre stated that they are strong together with national and spiritual values and said that they will always protect these values.

Referring to what has taken place in Cyprus in the historical process, Töre emphasized that the Turkish Cypriots were reunited with Turkish troops and the Turkish nation with the Peace Operation.

Referring to the fact that the Turkish army is their greatest assurance, he explained the importance of being strong by citing the atrocities in Gaza as an example.

“We are aware that we cannot exist without the motherland and without the Turkish army. We will continue to protect the Republic” said Töre.

The President of the Islamic Countries Academics Foundation, Prof. Dr. Bayram Altan for his part said that as 4613 academics from 57 countries, their hearts are on the side of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and noted that they will continue to defend the rights of the Turkish Cypriot people on every platform.
