A special program will be broadcast on BRT on Tuesday evening within the framework of steps taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Ünal Üstel to contribute to the recovery process from last week’s devastating twin earthquakes that hit southern Türkiye.

Leading names from the business and political community are joining forces for the construction of a container city by the “Cyprus Turkish Solidarity Platform”, formed by 42 chambers, unions, federations and associations in the TRNC in collaboration with the TRNC government with the aim of helping Türkiye recover from the earthquake disaster.

Within this framework, President Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı, the leader of the Republican Turkish Party Tufan Erhürman, as well as the President of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry Ali Kamacıoğlu, the President of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce Turgay Deniz, the President of the Hoteliers Union Dimağ Çağıner, the President of the Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association Cafer Gürcafer, the President of the Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen Mehmet Ali Ardıç and a total of 42 heads of non-governmental organizations will attend the special program to be broadcast on BRT on Tuesday evening.

The special fundraising programme for the construction of  1000 container homes, under the slogan “One heart for Türkiye – Our pain and mourning is one” will be broadcast live on BRT as of 7:30pm on Tuesday evening.
