Strong winds and showers expected, with air quality warnings in place
Date Added: 09 April 2025

The country is currently under the influence of a low-pressure system and a cool, humid air mass, bringing a notable change in weather conditions.

According to the Meteorology Department, temperatures are expected to drop by up to 4°C, while strong winds and storm conditions are forecast both on land and at sea.

Today’s weather will be partly cloudy with occasional light showers in some areas, while tomorrow is expected to remain partly cloudy with localised rain until midday.

Winds are set to strengthen starting today, reaching storm levels at times.

In addition to storm warnings, the country is also experiencing the effects of a dust-laden air mass carried from North Africa. Authorities have issued a public health advisory, urging individuals sensitive to dust to take necessary precautions due to the potential for deteriorated air quality.
