February vacation is over at primary and secondary schools.

The second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year started today in schools under the Directorate of Primary Education Department, General Secondary Education Department and Vocational Technical Education Department.

Primary and Secondary school students returned to their classrooms this morning marking the beginning of the second semester of the 2023-2024 school year.

The term for primary schools will end on Friday, June 14 with the distribution of report cards and completion certificates while secondary schools will end on Tuesday June 11.

There are currently 26,577 students enrolled in 125 public and private schools and 25,079 secondary school students in 48 public and private schools.

While 3,894 vocational high school students are studying in 12 schools affiliated to the Vocational Technical Education Department, approximately 400 students are studying in Apprenticeship and Adult Education Centres, and 6,187 teachers are working in public and private schools across the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
