Minister of Labour and Social Security Hasan Taçoy emphasized that investing in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is difficult, but conducting business is easy.

Taçoy also stated that the collaboration between business people and organizations in Türkiye and the TRNC would contribute to the country’s economy.

The Minister’s words came during a visit paid to him by the President of the All Bureaucrats and Business People Federation, Mehmet Hüsrev and his accompanying delegation.

According to a statement issued by the ministry’s press office, General President of the All Bureaucrats and Business People Federation, Mehmet Hüsrev, said they discussed how they could be beneficial to the TRNC during their contacts.

Hüsrev informed Minister Taçoy about the activities of the federation, which was established through the collaboration of business people, bureaucrats, and academics, and expressed their intention to establish structures and representation offices in the TRNC.

Minister of Labour and Social Security Hasan Taçoy for his part said that the engagement of civil society organizations in these matters was crucial from their perspective.

Highlighting that the TRNC is an attractive destination, Taçoy provided the visiting delegation with information on the legal procedures to be followed when investing in the TRNC.

Taçoy emphasized that investing in the TRNC is difficult but conducting business is easy, and he expressed that the efforts and collaboration of business people and organizations from both Türkiye and the TRNC would contribute to the economy, in addition to the efforts made by state authorities of the two countries to develop bilateral relations.

“The experience you provide, the strength you give in terms of both trade and industry, and the capabilities of the bureaucrats are important to us. The cooperation between the TRNC and the Republic of Türkiye should continue to grow,” the Minister of Labour and Social Security said.
