Turkish Agency Cyprus – TAK is preparing to celebrate the 51st anniversary of its establishment.

To mark the occasion TAK Director Fehmi Gürdallı and members of the Board of Directors visited state and government officials.

While the importance of the agency was emphasized in the speeches made during the visits, steps that need to be taken to further develop the agency were also discussed.

Turkish Agency Cyprus – TAK which is preparing to celebrate its 51st anniversary has recently visited key figures in the government to discuss the agency’s role and future plans.

During their visit to President Ersin Tatar, the President highlighted the importance of TAK in representing and providing information for Turkish Cypriots, especially those living abroad.

Tatar emphasized the need to strengthen TAK’s infrastructure, technology and equipment to ensure effective communication.

He also mentioned that TAK plays a crucial role in announcing the new national policy of the Turkish Cypriot people to the world.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler acknowledged TAK’s contribution to the struggle for Turkish Cypriot rights and the agency’s commitment to fair reporting.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel recognized TAK’s role in amplifying the voice of the Turkish Cypriot people and emphasized the agency’s impartiality.

Üstel pledged to take concrete steps to improve TAK’s operations in the future.

TAK Director Fehmi Gürdallı acknowledged the agency’s successful mission but noted the need to address some shortcomings, particularly in infrastructure.

Gürdallı expressed determination to work closely with the board of directors to improve the agency.
