The opening ceremony of the “Tangül Ünal Çağıner Foundation Love Home” project, which aims to provide children of different ages under state protection with the opportunity to live in a home environment, was realized.

The opening ceremony of the “Tangül Ünal Çağıner Vakfı Love Homes” project, which was implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Tangül Ünal Çağıner Children’s Aid Foundation, was held in Haspolat with the participation of the Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş.

Speaking at the ceremony, İçim Çağıner Kavuklu, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Tangül Ünal Çağıner Children’s Aid Foundation, said that the foundation mostly works for children.

“We have carried out many projects since the foundation was established, and today, which is the proudest day of the foundation, we are opening the love homes project, which will enable children under state protection to live in happy and compassionate homes.”

Emphasizing that they set out with the slogan “Children are happy, we are happy” and that the love homes will not only provide a home for children but also contribute to their education and development, Kavuklu thanked the Ministry of Labor and Social Security for their contributions.

Speaking at the opening ceremony the Minister of Labor and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu said that this facility is the flagship of the 4 mega projects planned by the ministry.

Stating that the rehabilitation centers built in every region with the instructions of Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and the Demirhan Barrier-Free Living House, which had been waiting for 12 years to be opened, were put into service in September, Minister Gardiyanoğlu said that they will continue to progress in terms of social services.

He also gave the good news that the construction of an autism center for autistic children will be started in the country.

Türkiye’s Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş for her part stated that the project, which was inaugurated, will be a home full of love for children.

Noting that TRNC and Türkiye are comrades in unshakable solidarity, Minister Göktaş wished that this home will be beneficial for the beautiful children of the TRNC.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel for his part praised the foundation for their contributions to the country and noted that since they as the government have come to office, they have been working non stop to complete all the unfinished projects in the country and meet the needs of the country.

President Ersin Tatar in his speech at the event thanked everyone who contributed to the project.

“The TRNC, as an independent Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean, is a homeland where the Turkish Cypriots, who have suffered a lot, can live with modern values. I hope that this project will be taken as an example and other business people will take these beautiful steps on behalf of the TRNC. With the support of Motherland Türkiye, we have come to these days by protecting our family values,” said Tatar.

He said that this year has been determined as the year of the family in the Republic of Türkiye, and that this year will be the year of the family in the TRNC and that work will continue for good projects.
