President Ersin Tatar participated in the opening of the “Fine Arts December Year-End Exhibition,” showcasing works by award-winning academic artists from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Near East University and contributors to the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.

The opening ceremony took place at the İrfan Günsel Congress Center Exhibition Hall.

Speaking at the event, President Tatar reflected on the challenges and efforts of 2024, emphasizing the achievements of Near East University (NEU) in various fields, which have succeeded in amplifying the voice of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on the global stage.

Tatar highlighted the significance of the exhibition, organized by NEU’s Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, in showcasing the university’s creativity and richness. He also underlined the importance of the artworks in forming an archival collection with museum value.

Praising the cultural and artistic contributions as steps toward integrating the TRNC into the global cultural landscape, President Tatar extended his congratulations to NEU Founding Rector Dr. Suat Günsel and all those involved in organizing the exhibition, wishing them continued success.
