President Ersin Tatar extended his congratulations to universities operating in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) that were listed in the 2025 rankings by the UK-based Times Higher Education (THE).

In his written statement, President Tatar highlighted the significant role of academic work conducted by TRNC universities in raising the profile of the country.

Tatar praised Eastern Mediterranean University, Near East University, and Cyprus International University, all of which were ranked in the 601-800 range in the prestigious global university rankings.

He emphasized that the academic achievements of these institutions contribute to both the branding of TRNC’s higher education and the country’s international recognition.

Expressing pride in the international success of TRNC universities, President Tatar congratulated the academic and administrative staff, as well as the students, for their contributions and wished continued success to all universities operating in the TRNC.
