Tatar-Erdoğan talk via phone

President Ersin Tatar and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke over the phone on Tuesday.

According to the information given by the Presidency, the two men discussed the first anniversary of the February 6 earthquake and the sorrow they felt for those who lost their lives in the earthquake.

During their conversation Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reiterated his sorrow for the loss of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) citizens, including the Champion Angels and commemorated all who lost their lives during the February 6 earthquake.

President Ersin Tatar for his part informed his Turkish counterpart regarding the commemoration ceremonies organized in the TRNC for the earthquake martyrs and said that their pain is as fresh as day one and that they will always remember those who lost their lives.

Meanwhile during their telephone conversation, the two presidents also congratulated one another’s Miraç Kandili, which is being observed in the Islamic world.
