The Israeli Prime Ministry’s allegations of an assassination attempt against Jewish citizens in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) were met with reaction in the TRNC.

President Ersin Tatar who issued a statement regarding the claim made on the Israeli Prime Ministry’s social media account that the Mossad prevented the assassination attempt against Jews in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus said that the TRNC would never allow terrorist acts on its territory.

The president stated that necessary measures are always taken both at sea, land and air gates of the TRNC to prevent such incidents.

Tatar stated that there were two arrests in South Cyprus the events were closely monitored and the process was followed with sensitivity and noted that there was no such incident in the TRNC.
