President Ersin Tatar is carrying out a two-day visit to Türkiye to areas affected by last year’s February 6 earthquake.
Tatar will be holding contacts in Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep.
As part of his two-day program, Tatar visited the Earthquake Martyrs’ Cemetery in Kahramanmaraş and the site of the İsias Hotel in Adıyaman.
In addition, President Tatar also attended celebrations marking the Liberation of Kahramanmaraş during the Turkish War of Independence.
He also delivered a lecture at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, and met with business people at the Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce.
The president will also proceed to Gaziantep, where he will participate in the 50th anniversary events of the 1974 Turkish Peace Operation.
Within this framework, Tatar will inaugurate an exhibition and hold a discussion session at Gaziantep University.
President Ersin Tatar is expected to return to the island on Wednesday.
