President Ersin Tatar is continuing to hold a variety of contacts in Türkiye.

Within the framework of his contacts President Ersin Tatar inaugurated the “From Yesterday to Today: TRNC’s Painters, Altındağ Workshop and Exhibition”.

Delivering an opening speech Tatar noted that the Turkish Cypriot people have always attached importance to artistic activities.

Stating that the income from the exhibition will be donated to the association on behalf of the Champion Angels, Tatar stated that the exhibition has therefore gained great importance.

Noting that they will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye with great enthusiasm, Tatar emphasized that the republic founded by the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk will continue to develop more strongly under the leadership of Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the second century.

Within the framework of his visits, President Ersin Tatar also attended a sapling planting event held at the Ankara Altındağ Municipality TRNC Park and Cyprus Martyrs Memorial Forest, which was built in memory of the 49 TRNC citizens who lost their lives in the February 6 earthquakes.

Drawing attention to the importance of the saplings to be planted on behalf of the 49 people who lost their lives in terms of keeping their memories alive forever and developing the ancient ties between the two countries, Tatar said that they are working to take the necessary measures to prevent the repetition of such.

He said that they were also closely following the developments on the Isias case.

Also touching upon the events taking place in Palestine the President called on the United Nations to do its duty.

“How much can they intervene in Palestine? That is what we are questioning. It is our right to question what the UN is doing in an environment where so many children are being massacred” said Tatar.
