Within the framework of his contacts in London, President Ersin Tatar visited the British Parliament and attended a session of the House of Lords.
During his discussion with members of the British Parliament, Tatar touched upon the two-state policy, emphasizing that he expects equality and justice from guarantor country, England.
President Ersin Tatar who is continuing his contacts in the UK, called on guarantor country England to pay attention to the Turkish Cypriot people’s call for equality and justice.
President Tatar came together with British parliamentarians and took part in a session at the House of Lords.
During his meeting with British parliamentarians at the Palace of Westminster, Tatar spoke about the new policy based on two separate states.
During his visit to the British Parliament, President Tatar was accompanied by his Special Representative Ergün Olgun and the TRNC London Representative Çimen Keskin.
Later the President came together with the London Metropolitan Police Services Turkish Police Association at the London TRNC Representative Office.
President Tatar met with the Head of London’s Turkish Police Association Eren Emin and his accompanying delegation.
Speaking during the visit the President emphasized that the Turkish Cypriot people will one day take its rightful place amongst the world and added that England as a guarantor country has great importance for Cyprus.
He also drew attention to the importance of Turkish Cypriot people residing in the UK obtaining jobs in administrative positions and businesses in the UK.
