Tatar met with students at Güzelyurt Turk Maarif College

President Ersin Tatar was in Güzelyurt on Thursday as part of his visits to schools throughout the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

He visited the Güzelyurt Turk Maarif College, met with the students and emphasized that he has full confidence in the youth who are the rulers of the future.

President Ersin Tatar came together with year 12 students at the Güzelyurt Turk Maarif College.

During his visit, President Tatar also gave an interview to the students at the school lecture hall.

Referring to the rapid development of science in the world, Tatar explained that access to information, the internet and artificial intelligence has started to change the world.

Pointing out that there are wars in various parts of the world and that this leads to climate change, Tatar noted that the TRNC follows the developments in the world and continues on its way.

“The presence of the Republic of Türkiye is very important as the TRNC continues on its way as a Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean,” Tatar said, emphasizing that the Turkish Cypriot people achieved a state with their sovereignty as a result of great struggles.

He also gave information about the process of the TRNC to reach where it is today and emphasized that the TRNC is a success story.

Stating that the Turkish Cypriot people established a state from scratch and worked to carry the traditions and values of this state to the future, Tatar said that a people who have reached this point must protect their own state.

Emphasizing that he has full confidence in the youth who are the rulers of the future, Tatar noted that as a state, they are always on the side of the youth.
