President Ersin Tatar emphasized that if there will be an agreement on the island, a part of that agreement will be the state of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Receiving the delegation of the Social Assistance and Solidarity Association established by the graduates of military high schools and cadet schools, President Tatar underlined that it is everyone’s responsibility to protect the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

President Ersin Tatar received Mustafa Levent Önce, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Assistance and Solidarity Association.

During the meeting, President Tatar emphasized the importance of individuals who have served in the Turkish Army and Security Forces continuing to contribute to society with the same national values after retirement.

Regarding the Cyprus issue, President Tatar stated that any agreement reached must be based on a two-state solution to ensure fairness, permanence, and sustainability.

He highlighted the need to protect the sovereignty of the Turkish Cypriot people.

President Tatar emphasized that a fair solution and an agreement that secures the existence of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are crucial.

He voiced the importance of Türkiye’s guarantees and the deterrent power of the Turkish military in protecting the rights and security of the Turkish Cypriot people.

President Tatar also pledged to continue the national policy in collaboration with the Republic of Türkiye.
