President Ersin Tatar on Thursday received British parliamentarians who are carrying out contacts in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

During the meeting which was also attended by the Co-Chair of the Freedom and Justice Campaign for Northern Cyprus Çetin Ramadan, evaluations were made on the Cyprus problem and the position of the Turkish Cypriot side was conveyed.

It was emphasized that the UK, as a guarantor country, should provide fair and equal treatment to the Turkish Cypriot people and that a just and sustainable agreement in Cyprus can only be possible through a two-state solution.

The necessity for the sovereign equality and equal international status of the Turkish Cypriot people to be registered was also emphasized.
