President Ersin Tatar received the members of the British Residents Society on Wednesday.

Stating that the British Residents Society was one of the most important expat associations based in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, President Tatar thanked the society members for their support and views.

During the meeting, members of the British Residents Society expressed their full support to the Turkish Cypriot side’s vision for sovereign equality and a two-state solution.

They also conveyed the problems experienced by the British and foreign communities residing in the TRNC.

The society members also gave information about the lobbying activities of the society within the framework of the “Freedom and Justice for North Cyprus” campaign, and President Ersin Tatar’s meetings with politicians and interviews with press members in London last month were evaluated during the meeting.

British Residents Society President Julian Mawdesley, members Mike Diplock, Hakan Redif and Peter Wilkins as well as the President’s Special Representative Ergün Olgun and Foreign Press Officer Kerem Haser were present at the meeting
