President Ersin Tatar said that successful private schools in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus earned the country prestige and wealth.
Tatar was speaking during a visit paid to him by the Board of Directors of the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Doğa College.
He said that Doğa College was an international brand that contributed to the education of Turkish Cypriot youth.
This he added was of great importance particularly in an environment where the Turkish Cypriot people were subjected to inhumane embargoes.
Pointing out that there were students enrolled in TRNC universities from over 144 different countries, President Tatar said that there were high quality education institutions in the country.
“It is with such investments that we are looking into the future with bright prospects,” he added.
