President Ersin Tatar on Wednesday received a delegation from the committee on immovable properties established within the Cyprus Turkish Bars Association.

During the meeting, Tatar emphasized the importance of the Immovable Property Commission (IPC), stressing the need to allocate the necessary resources for it to function appropriately and to process applications without further delay.

Tatar highlighted that the property issue would be resolved either through exchange, restitution or compensation, and also mentioned the possibility of resorting to a global exchange, as proposed by the founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş in the past.

He emphasized the importance of trust in the institutions and organizations of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
