President Ersin Tatar received the head of the Religious Affairs Department Hakan Moral and Director General of the Vakıflar Administration Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer.

Speaking during the visit, Tatar stated that Turkish Cypriots have held on to these lands with their national and religious values throughout their history.

President Tatar wished Hakan Moral, who was appointed as the TRNC Head of Religious Affairs, success in his new position and thanked former Head of Religious Affairs Ahmet Ünsal for his services.

Stating that Turkish Cypriots have held on to these lands with their national and religious values throughout their history, Tatar noted that as a member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Organization of Turkic States, it is noted that the Turkish Cypriots are a part of the Islamic world in contacts with the international community.

He also stated that in addition to the places of worship, the works of the Vakıflar Administration in the understanding of charity and solidarity are important for the Turkish Cypriot culture.

Tatar emphasized the need for the imams in the country to integrate with the people and to attach importance to unity and solidarity, and reminded the importance of the upcoming Ramadan month for unity and solidarity and wished good work in the preparations for the month of Ramadan.
