President Ersin Tatar on Monday welcomed Ömer Keleş, President of the International Association of Bureaucrats, Academics, and Businesspeople (UBİAD), along with his delegation.
During the meeting, President Tatar expressed his pleasure in hosting UBİAD and thanked them for their visit.
Receiving the delegation, President Ersin Tatar highlighted the significance of the recent visit by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and a large delegation to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation.
He stated that the messages conveyed during the July 20 Peace and Freedom Day celebrations provided great motivation for the Turkish Cypriots.
President Tatar emphasized the importance of strengthening the longstanding and robust relations with Türkiye, expressing that this has always been a heartfelt desire.
He underscored the importance of mutual contacts and fostering closer ties and solidarity, especially among the youth, in the current era of communication.
Tatar also reiterated the hope for further development of the TRNC as a Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean.
He recalled the justified intervention of the Turkish Armed Forces on the island, which brought peace, freedom, security, and tranquility to the Turkish Cypriot people.
President Tatar paid tribute to all the martyrs with respect and extended his gratitude to all the veterans.
