Tatar receives UTWEA delegation

President Ersin Tatar recently hosted a delegation from the Union of Turkish World Engineers and Architects, led by the organization’s president, İlyas Demirci.

During the meeting, President Tatar emphasized that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) closely follows the activities of the Union as a part of the broader Turkish world.

He underscored the significance of “heartfelt connections and unity” within the Turkish community.

Referring to his visit to Kyrgyzstan, President Ersin Tatar expressed that he had the opportunity to learn more about the work of the Union of Turkish World Engineers and Architects.

He conveyed his hope that the engineers and architects from across the Organisation of Turkic States would continue to collaborate on modern projects, promoting unity and shared prosperity.

Tatar also mentioned the landmark project of bringing water from Türkiye to the TRNC, highlighting the 75 million cubic meters of water now flowing to the country, overcoming significant challenges.

“This is a major engineering achievement,” Tatar stated.

In turn, İlyas Demirci briefed President Tatar on the ongoing projects and future plans of the Union under the theme “Unity in Language, Thought, and Work.”

This meeting marks another step in strengthening the ties between the TRNC and the Turkish world through engineering and architectural collaborations.
