Tatar recieves Turkish Ambassador Feyzioğlu and KIA Coordinator Erol Öz

President Ersin Tatar on Tuesday received Türkiye’s Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu, and the Coordinator of the Development and Economic Cooperation Office Erol Öz.

During the courtesy visit, discussions revolved around topics such as the Economic and Financial Cooperation Protocol and Turkey’s contribution to the economic transformation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Speaking during the visit, President Ersin Tatar recalled his previous collaboration with Erol Öz, who served as the Financial Adviser at the Turkish embassy during his tenure as Minister of Finance.

Highlighting the importance of utilizing resources in well-studied projects that have a tangible impact on people and prioritize public benefit, Tatar expressed optimism about the potential for significant strides in the economy through collaborative efforts.

Ambassador Metin Feyzioğlu for his part underscored the significance of an experienced bureaucrat like Öz back in service.

Also speaking Erol Öz acknowledged President Tatar’s past significant reforms, noting his firsthand observation of the positive long-term effects of his fiscal policies on the economy.

He emphasized the importance of President Tatar’s leadership in ensuring prudent financial management and fostering economic growth in the TRNC.
