President Ersin Tatar thanked President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan for his statements and support regarding the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

“It is my greatest wish for our relationship with Azerbaijan, our commonality in hearts, values, and as an inseparable part of the same nation, to continue to grow,” Tatar said.

President Ersin Tatar issued a written statement following Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s announcement during the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) meeting in Baku that the flag of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will be flown at events in Azerbaijan.

“I am pleased with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s announcement during the Organization of Turkic States meeting in Baku that the flag of the TRNC will be flown at events in Azerbaijan,” the president said.

“The concept of ‘one nation, three states’ holds true for the Turkic state in the Eastern Mediterranean, the TRNC, as it continues to exist with this understanding. It is my greatest wish to see the relationship between Azerbaijan and the TRNC, which is an inseparable part of the unity of hearts, values, and the same nation, continue to strengthen,” Tatar stressed.

“I thank President Aliyev for his statements and hope that our brotherhood and cooperation will last forever” President Tatar added.
