President Ersin Tatar issued a written statement regarding the first anniversary of the massacres that Israel began in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.
In his statement, Tatar said, “For 365 days, crimes against humanity have been committed in Gaza, and those who target the lives of innocents must not go unpunished.”
He stressed that crimes against humanity had been committed in Gaza for 365 days.
“Crimes against humanity have been committed in Gaza for 365 days. As the president of a people who have faced oppression for 11 years, the pain we feel from the depths of our hearts, the bloodshed, and the tears must be stopped. This merciless massacre, carried out indiscriminately against women, children, and civilians in front of the world’s eyes, must be brought to an end immediately” Tatar said.
The President also noted that approximately 42,000 people had lost their lives in Gaza and that the massacres cannot be forgotten, adding, “Those who target the lives of innocents must not go unpunished.”
