Tatar: TRNC will continue to take care of its own children

President Ersin Tatar on Tuesday came together with the students from the Güzelyurt Vocational High School and Sedat Simavi Industrial Vocational High School as part of his visits to schools across the country.

During his visits, Tatar stressed that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will continue to take care of its own children.

President Ersin Tatar on Tuesday visited the Güzelyurt Vocational High School and Sedat Simavi Industrial Vocational High School where he chatted with students and talked about the Cyprus issue.

Addressing the students at the Güzelyurt Vocational High School, Tatar congratulated the school, which represented the country at the 19th Istanbul Gastronomy Festival and achieved great success.

Touching upon the recent earthquake disaster in Türkiye, he said it was not possible to forget the pain and suffering caused by the quakes, pointing out that “nothing will be as it was before February 6.

Noting that the TRNC had mobilized all its means to assist relief and recovery efforts, he stressed that everyone should protect themselves, their families and the country.

Tatar also added that students should take full advantage of the opportunities offered to them, work hard and gain a profession.

“I fully believe that you will make the most of these opportunities at your school with the opportunities offered to you. The TRNC State will continue to protect its own children,” the president stressed.

During his visit to Sedat Simavi Industrial Vocational High School, President Tatar stated that despite the embargoes and isolation imposed on the country, technology and the internet provided an opportunity for young people to access the latest innovations and to use these tools to develop themselves.

Stressing the importance of students’ self-education and development under the leadership of teachers, President Tatar wished success to all teachers and students, expressing that this would be of great benefit to both of them and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
