
President Ersin Tatar visited the Civil Defense Organization on Wednesday, where he met with the head of the organisation Atilla Karaca.
Speaking during the visit, President Tatar stated that the Civil Defense Organization is one of the distinguished institutions and noted that the institution has potential power.
He said that the organization acts with a team spirit, adding that the Civil Defense Organization has strengthened throughout the country and in this context he believed that it will become even stronger with the necessary support.
Referring to the February 6 earthquake, President Tatar reminded that they fought in cooperation with the Civil Defense Organization in this disaster.
Underlining the importance of being prepared in advance for a possible natural disaster, Tatar pointed out that holding a coordination meeting would reduce the risks and expressed his readiness to take the lead in this regard.
Tatar pointed out that the Organization has become better equipped compared to the past.
Atilla Karaca, the head of the Civil Defense Organization, for his part spoke about the work carried out and the problems they have experienced in the Civil Defense Organization and stated that the support of President Ersin Tatar is important for them in this context.
