President Tatar has said that municipalities could now work more consistently and could offer better services to the people following the municipal reform.

Tatar who paid a visit to the Yenierenköy-Dipkarpaz municipality met with the mayor Hamit Bakırcı,

Speaking during the visit President Ersin Tatar noted that Yenierenköy and Dipkarpaz municipalities were merged following the passing of the municipalities’ reform law.

He added that now it is possible for municipalities to operate more steadily and effectively.

Stating that the region is one of the most beautiful in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) with its history, tourism potential and nature, Tatar said that the area’s economic infrastructure had reached a promising point.

Touching upon the water and electricity project, Tatar said that services are being provided without interruption which in turn will raise the area’s tourism potential.
