President Ersin Tatar said that it is necessary to work together with Türkiye to strengthen the economic and social structure.

Participating in the Türkiye’s Construction Sector, Cyprus Investment and Cooperation Workshop held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), President Tatar said, “The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is an independent Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean and is the key to peace, tranquillity and security.”

President Ersin Tatar attended the Türkiye’s Construction Sector Cyprus Investment and Cooperation Workshop that was held in the TRNC.

Speaking at the event, President Tatar emphasized the geopolitical and geostrategic importance of Cyprus and said “The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, is an independent Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean and is the key to peace, tranquillity and security”.

Explaining the importance of the TRNC for the security of natural resources to be transported from the Turkic World, Tatar stated that when the Baku-Ceyhan line is examined, the proximity of Cape Karpaz and Ceyhan is seen.

Explaining that they advocate a solution model based on the cooperation of two equal sovereign states in Cyprus, President Tatar pointed out that with a solution based on single sovereignty in Cyprus, the guarantor status of the Republic of Türkiye, which is not included in the European Union, will end in Cyprus and its power in the Eastern Mediterranean will be weakened by detaching it from the island.

Noting that property sales to foreigners are subject to laws, certain rules and restrictions, President Tatar stated that security checks are carried out.

He added that despite the law, attention should be paid to purchases made through private contracts.

Emphasizing the importance of investments to be made from motherland Türkiye that will increase the welfare and contribute to the development of the country, President Tatar pointed to the importance of working together to strengthen the economic and social structure.
