President Ersin Tatar attended the screening of the movie “Masal”, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Champion Angels Association.

Speaking at Girne American University where the film was screened, President Tatar highlighted the significance of the film, which was made for the students, teachers and families of the Gazimağusa Turkish Maarif College (GTMK) who lost their lives in the earthquake that hit Türkiye on February 6, 2023.

President Tatar mentioned that the GTMK volleyball players, who were champions in Cyprus and participated in a tournament in Adıyaman, also became earthquake martyrs.

He expressed solidarity with the 50,000 people affected by the earthquake and the recent fire in a hotel in Bolu.

President Tatar vowed to remember the Champion Angels and stated that the Turkish Cypriot people remains united, just as they were during the years of struggle before 1974.

He assured that they will continue to follow the cause of Isias and commended the families of the Champion Angels for their resilience and determination.
