The Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmuş also condemned the attack on the mosque in Limassol.

In his statement on Sunday, Kurtulmuş expressed that this attack, which targets freedom of belief and peace, was reprehensible.

He also called on the Greek Cypriot authorities to fulfil their legal responsibilities in the face of this attack.

“In the face of this attack targeting religious freedom, the sanctity of places of worship, and most importantly peace, we expect the Greek Cypriot authorities to fulfil their legal responsibilities and take the necessary precautions to prevent the repetition of vile attempts that could disrupt the atmosphere of peace on the island. On this occasion, I extend my best wishes to the Turkish Cypriot people and reiterate our constant support” Kurulmuş said on his social media account.
