Leaders and representatives of Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot political parties gathered at the Ledra Palace Hotel in Lefkoşa for their monthly dialogue meeting, under the auspices of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic.
The discussions centred on the current state of the Cyprus issue.
The meeting featured Mr. Colin Stewart, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General, Head of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), and Deputy Special Advisor to the United Nations Secretary-General on Cyprus.
Stewart provided an update on the political situation following the recent trilateral informal meeting held on October 15 in New York, which involved President Ersin Tatar and the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides, and United Nations Secretary-General Mr. Antonio Guterres.
The next meeting is scheduled for November 27 2024, with the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) set to host the session.
