The Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır and his accompanying delegation carried out an inspection at the Günsel car manufacturing facility, Near East University’s domestically produced electric car, within the scope of his contacts to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

During his visit to the facility, he was accompanied by Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu, Founding Rector of Near East University (NEU) Suat İrfan Günsel and Chairman of the NEU Board of Trustees Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel,

After test driving Günsel, Kacır expressed the hope that this project which was brought to where it is today with the innovative work, research and development carried out locally will be integrated with Türkiye’s experience in the coming period.

“Hopefully we will be able to produce a qualified and sustainable product from here” said Kacır.
